Today we got our first chickens — one of each: Barred Rock, Silver-laced Wyandotte, Red Rock, Red Production, Buff Orpington, and an Americana. They are five days old and currently residing under a heat lamp in a cardboard box in the bedroom. The two cats are quite interested in the goings-on in the room.
