The old oak rafters in the “demolition room,” or the dining room, have been revealed after weeks of work. Today I’ve been contemplating the question: “Now what?”
The house warmed up to a comfortable 82 degrees today, and up in the now open attic space, it was 106. So I researched solar-powered attic fans, and got back into the basement to inspect the foundation. Seems there’s a lot more deconstruction in store in future weeks, and finally we’re going to have to crawl under the floor and do some essential supporting of key joists.
Today I did no work on the house. Rejuvenating time. The cat was the only one who explored the attic space.
