We decided to bite the bullet again. We took down the temporary ceiling that we had installed a year ago and removed and stored the insulation, forcing a commitment to renovating the main “demolition” area of the house; to reframing the main supporting wall, re-doing the ceiling (adding four feet), putting in skylights on the south-facing roof, and closing everything up — all before the end of October.
Three months. Seems like just enough time to figure things out.
